Billy Lynch began their career in 2011 as a Computer Science Peer Leader and Student System Administrator at Rutgers University. In 2013, they joined Google as a Software Engineering Intern. Billy then returned to Google in 2014 as a Software Engineer, where they worked on Cloud Build from December 2021 to April 2021 as the Team Lead of a team of 6 engineers. Billy also served as an OSS Contributor/Maintainer for the TektonCD project from November 2019 to December 2021. In 2022, they joined Chainguard, Inc. as a Staff Software Engineer.

Billy Lynch attended Rutgers University from 2010 to 2014, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
