Grande-Duchesse Maria Teresa serves as the President and founder of Stand Speak Rise Up! asbl since September 2019, an organization established to amplify the voices of victims and provide solutions. Holding the position of President at the Fondation du Grand-Duc et de la Grande-Duchesse since February 1981, Grande-Duchesse Maria Teresa is also a UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador since June 1997, focusing on promoting education for girls and women's rights. Additional roles include President of Croix-Rouge luxembourgeoise and the Fondation Cancer, both since January 2005, Honorary President of LuxFLAG and the European Microfinance Award, and serving on the executive board of Fondation GCA - Grameen Crédit Agricole. Furthermore, participation in the orientation committee of Y croire et agir and as an Honorary Member of the Honorary Board of the International Paralympic Committee highlights a commitment to various social causes.
