Roman Oleinik has been working in the IT field since 2003. Roman began their career at Visual Arts Masters as a Visual Arts Masters, where they were responsible for managing the development and day to day maintenance of the vamproductions.com online store. Roman also handled content management, including organization, storage, redundancy, and archival of hundreds of thousands of images online and offline. In 2011, Roman joined Critical Mention An Onclusive Company as a DevOps Engineer and Linux System Administrator. In this role, they were responsible for day to day operations of company infrastructure, including continuous maintenance, upgrade, configuration, and replacement of over 1K physical servers as well as hundreds of virtual machines. Roman also handled remote hardware replacement, including hard drives, soft RAID management, 3ware, and Megaraid, as well as other hardware such as PSU's and capture equipment.

Roman Oleinik obtained an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) in Radio and Television Broadcasting Technology/Technician from Kingsborough Community College. In 2011, they obtained the Network + certification from CompTIA.
