Elisa Sousa

Substance Use Counselor at Crisis & Counseling Centers

Elisa Sousa has extensive experience in counseling and education, currently serving as a Substance Use Counselor and Manager of Community Case Management at Crisis & Counseling Centers since June 2018, alongside a role as Children's Case Manager. Prior to this, Elisa worked as a Special Education Teacher at MSAD 58 from August 2016 to August 2018 and as Site Supervisor at Children's Center: Early Intervention and Family Support from June 2013 to August 2016. Elisa also held the position of Team Leader/Teacher at Kennebec Valley Community Action Program from February 2006 to June 2013. Educational qualifications include a Masters of Mental Health Counseling from Southern New Hampshire University (2022-2025), a Master of Science in Early Childhood Education from the University of Maine at Farmington (2012-2016), a Masters certificate in Infant Specialist from the Erikson Institute (2010-2012), and a Bachelor's degree in College Studies: Teaching Young Children from the University of Maine at Machias (2004-2008).
