Abby J. Kaplan serves as the SVP and Head of the Compounding Division at Covetrus since April 2024. Prior to this role, Kaplan was General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at SCA Pharma from March 2021 to April 2024, where responsibilities included managing legal and compliance departments, advising on corporate strategy, and navigating complex regulatory issues. Kaplan co-founded and served as CEO of Samson Pharma, LLC, from July 2019 to December 2023, focusing on novel dermatology product development. Additional experience includes roles as Chief Operating Officer at OptumRx, EVP of Administration at Avella Specialty Pharmacy, and legal positions at JPMorgan Chase, Medicis, and Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP. Kaplan holds an MBA with Distinction from the University of Michigan, a JD from Columbia Law School, a BA with High Distinction from the University of Michigan, and studied abroad in Florence at the Istituto Lorenzo de' Medici.
