Charlene Shong has a diverse work experience with various roles and responsibilities. Charlene worked at Covariant as a Technical Program Manager, where they developed robotic work cells and worked with engineering teams to deliver automation solutions. Charlene also worked as a Deployment Engineer at Covariant and as a Mechanical Engineering Intern. Prior to Covariant, they worked as a Design Technician at the University of California, Berkeley. Before that, they served as an Autonomous Vehicle Operator Instructor at Adecco. Charlene also worked as a Student Supervisor at the Jacobs Institute for Design Innovation and as a Research Assistant at California Path. Additionally, they gained experience as an Engineering Intern at Boeing, specializing in Materials, Process & Physics (MP&P). Charlene also had roles as a Student Assistant at UC Berkeley's Donald A. Glaser Advanced Physics Laboratory and as an intern in Materials, Manufacturing, Structures, and Support (MMSS) at Boeing.
Charlene Shong earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, completing their studies from 2014 to 2018. Prior to that, they received their High School Diploma from Tustin High School between 2010 and 2014. In addition to their formal education, Charlene Shong obtained the Engineer In Training certification from NCEES in March 2019, and the SolidWorks Associate Certification from the SolidWorks Authorised Training Center in June 2013.
