Mary Lou Roper MD has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and companies. Mary Lou started their career as an Exercise Physiologist with a NASA contractor from 1988 to 1993. Following that, they joined Johns Hopkins Hospital where they served as an Anesthesiologist, Cv anesthesia fellow, chief resident, and resident from 1993 to 1997. In 2011, they joined NorthStar Anesthesia, where they worked as a Cardiac Anesthesiologist, Medical Director of Anesthesia CCMC, and eventually became the South Texas Regional Medical Director until 2018. In 2013, they joined Corpus Christi Medical Center as the Medical Director and later served as the Chief of Staff from 2016 to 2016. Most recently, Mary Lou Roper MD is the Business Owner of Your MultiFamily MD since 2021, where they focus on finding multifamily properties, building teams for property management, and providing value to investors.
Mary Lou Roper MD began their education journey by earning a Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from Texas Christian University in 1986. Mary Lou then pursued a Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology from Louisiana State University from 1986 to 1988. In 1989, they obtained their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston). Continuing their medical education, they completed an Anesthesia Residency and Cardiovascular Anesthesia Fellowship at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine from 1993 to 1997. Additionally, they took General Studies courses at the University of Houston in 1982.
