Karen Gerdes possesses extensive experience in law enforcement and investigative roles, currently serving as a Special Investigator for the Arizona Corporation Commission since May 2017. Prior to this position, Karen dedicated over two decades to the City of Phoenix, working as a Police Officer and Detective, focusing on areas such as patrol, domestic violence, and adult sex crimes. Karen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Career and Technical Education from Northern Arizona University, earned between 2006 and 2017, and has achieved certifications as a Certified Forensic Consultant Investigator, Certified Executive Crime Scene Investigator, and Certified Crime Scene Investigator.
