Dr Claire O'Sullivan Rochford FCA has a diverse work experience spanning various organizations and roles. Dr Claire began their career at PwC in 2001 as an Assistant Manager and worked there until 2005. Dr Claire then joined the Queensland Audit Office as an Audit Manager for a brief period before moving to QUT (Queensland University of Technology) as a Project Accountant in 2005. In 2006, Dr Rochford joined the University College Cork as a Lecturer in Accounting and held that role until 2019. Currently, they are the Head of the Department of Accounting and Information Systems at Munster Technological University.
Dr Claire O'Sullivan Rochford FCA has an extensive education history. Dr Claire obtained their Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Economics and Accounting and Finance from University College Cork in 2000. In 2001, they became an Associate member of Chartered Accountants Ireland (ACA). Dr Claire further pursued their education and received a Master's degree in Corporate Finance and Accounting from University College Cork in 2001.
Dr Rochford then went on to complete a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning for Higher Education in 2007 and a Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching and Learning for Higher Education in 2008, both from University College Cork. In 2010, they obtained a Diploma in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) from Chartered Accountants Ireland.
Continuing their academic journey, Dr Rochford pursued a Ph.D. in Accounting/Auditing from University College Cork, which they successfully completed in 2020. Dr Claire also obtained an Audit Qualification from Chartered Accountants Ireland in 2019.
Additionally, Dr Claire O'Sullivan Rochford FCA became a Fellow member of Chartered Accountants Ireland in 2016.
