Simon Hughes is an experienced Cloud and Infrastructure Architect currently working at Contact Energy Ltd since April 2023. Prior to this role, Simon was an Enterprise Architect at ANZ, focusing on the BS11 Compliance Endeavour Programme, and served as a Principal Design Consultant at Spark New Zealand, where contributions included developing an AoG DaaS solution. Simon's extensive background includes positions such as Solution Architect at Barclays UK Retail and Business Bank, Infrastructure Architect at Barclaycard, and various architecture roles at IBM Global Services and Calyx Group. Simon holds a BSc Hons in Industrial Computing from Newcastle upon Tyne Polytechnic and possesses a strong foundation in both technical and architectural domains across numerous high-profile projects.
