Jim Riley has a diverse range of work experience spanning several industries. Jim began their career at Texaco as a Marine Engineer from 1979 to 1986. Jim then became a business owner at Riverstone, Inc., where they successfully managed sales, operations, and finances of a contracting company. Jim later held roles as a Superintendent at Morton Salt, an Operations Manager at Rice University, and a Senior Facilities Manager at Reliant Energy. In 2002, they joined Texas A&M University as the Executive Director, a position they held for 20 years until 2022. Currently, Jim is employed at CenTrio Energy, where they started as a Senior Development Engineering Manager in 2022 and is now the Senior Vice President - Engineering & Construction.
Jim Riley attended Texas A&M University from 1975 to 1979, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Engineering. In 2002, they obtained the Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification from the Association of Energy Engineers.
