Neil Gillespie has extensive experience in the energy sector, with a career spanning over four decades. Currently serving as a Specialist in hydro Sustainability at Contact Energy Ltd since August 2008, Neil has held various roles within the company, including Specialist in Community Relations & Environment and Project Manager for Hydro Development. Prior to this, Neil worked at Pioneer Generation Ltd as Asset Development Manager and contributed to Contact Energy Ltd as an Environmental Advisor for nearly a decade. Earlier roles included Environment Advisor and Personnel & Administration Officer at Electricity Corporation of New Zealand and various clerical positions at New Zealand Electricity Department. Neil's foundational education was completed at Otago Boys High School in Dunedin from 1974 to 1977.
