Andrew Newens is a seasoned mechanical engineer with a diverse background spanning over two decades in engineering, education, and counseling. Currently serving as a Mechanical Engineer at the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission since September 2019, Andrew previously held the role of Project Engineer at the U.S. Department of Energy from June 2010 to September 2019, where responsibilities included creating feasibility studies and designing mechanical systems for power plants. Andrew began the professional journey in education, teaching middle school math and science, tutoring students in various subjects, and specializing in adolescent and family counseling. A Princeton University graduate with a BS in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering and a master's degree in Christian Counseling from Capital Bible Seminary, Andrew combines technical expertise with a strong commitment to mentoring and individual development.
