Daniel started their career as a Field Service Technician at CAMSCO, where they serviced HP servers, disks, and magnetic tape equipment in the CAD industry. Daniel also provided support for large-scale analog and digital plot output systems.

In 1984, Daniel joined Gerber Scientific Inc. as a Field Service Technician and expanded their expertise into robotics.
