Culinary Lead – Operational Support & Projects at Compass Group

Will Mordido is a seasoned culinary professional with extensive experience in various roles across the hospitality industry. Currently serving as Culinary Lead for Operational Support and Projects at Compass Group since October 2022, Will also founded and works as the Chef at Buko Pop Up Restaurant since January 2017. Previously, Will held significant positions such as RATIONAL Corporate Chef and RATIONAL Chef - Sales at Reward Hospitality NZ from September 2019 to June 2022, and Hospo Start Facilitator - Chef at the Restaurant Association of New Zealand from June 2018 to August 2019. Additional experience includes roles as Head Chef at Spotless Group, Consultant Chef at Russell McVeagh, and various positions at Chikos Restaurant and Cafe, as well as an Apprentice chef at SkyCity Entertainment Group. Will’s career began as a Casual Kitchen Assistant/Waiter at The Great Catering Company. Education was completed at Onehunga High School.
