Maja Milkowska-Shibata is a skilled bilingual professional with extensive experience in medical interpretation and public health research. Currently serving as a Polish Medical Interpreter for Healing Narratives and CommunityHealth, Maja provides vital interpretation services for Polish-speaking patients in various medical settings. Previous roles include Project Assistant at Northern Illinois University, where Maja coordinated a research program on water quality and public health, and Research Scholar at the Global Environmental Health LAB, focusing on maternal health care in Myanmar. Maja's earlier research experiences include quantitative analysis at the Center for Disease Dynamics, Economics & Policy, and conducting mixed methods studies at Health Care Without Harm - Europe. Maja holds dual Master of Science degrees in Global Health and European Public Health from Maastricht University, along with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Poznan University of Medical Sciences.
