Susan Henderson has established a diverse career in writing, teaching, and community service. Currently serving as a Workshop Teacher at Community of Writers and a Guest Speaker for Authors Unbound, Henderson has been a prolific author with HarperCollins Publishers since 2009, creating acclaimed works such as "THE FLICKER OF OLD DREAMS" and "UP FROM THE BLUE." With a background in managing literary content as the former Managing Editor of Night Train literary magazine and curating for NPR’s DimeStories, Henderson also contributes to literary discussions through blogging on platforms such as LitPark.com and has previously written for Huffington Post and The Nervous Breakdown. In addition to literary endeavors, Henderson's extensive volunteer work includes supporting the We Are Family Foundation and providing counseling services at Pittsburgh Action Against Rape. Educational credentials include a B.A. in English from Carnegie Mellon University and an M.Ed in Human Development Counseling from Vanderbilt University.
