Jefta Smit has substantial experience in the education sector, currently serving as Afdelingsleider Atheneum 5&6 at College de Heemlanden since August 2020, overseeing approximately 250 students and 25 staff members as part of the management team. Prior to this role, Jefta Smit worked for 14 years as a (business) economics teacher at Cals College, where involvement included positions such as chair of the (G)MR, department chair, team leader, examination secretary, and quality staff member. Jefta Smit began the career as an economics teacher at Willem Lodewijk Gymnasium from August 2005 to July 2006. Educational qualifications include a Master of Management in Education from TIAS school for business and society, and a first-grade teaching qualification in economics and business economics.
