Dan'smost recent position was at CoBank, where they served as the Director of Finance for Farm Credit Leasing and Digital Banking Solutions. In this role, they acted as a divisional CFO, collaborating closely with executive leadership to drive financial initiatives. Dan was also responsible for financial reporting, modeling, and presenting company financials to align stakeholders.

Prior to that, Shepard worked at GlobalFoundries as the Director of Manufacturing Finance. Dan contributed to the reduction of operating input spending and drove process improvement and financial insights to operational metrics. Additionally, they assisted with ROI analysis on capital expenditure requests.

Shepard also served as the Senior Vice President of Finance at Farm Credit East, ACA. Dan played a key role in the organization's merger, ensuring a flawless transition of accounting and finance records. Dan also collaborated with the CFO and CEO to analyze investment and funding strategies.

Prior to that, they worked at Precise Painting and Wallcovering, Inc as an Assistant Controller. Dan was responsible for financial reporting, job costing, and implementing new tracking systems to improve labor management.

Prior to that, they completed an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree in Business Administration and Management from SUNY Adirondack, from 2005 to 2007.

In terms of higher education, Dan is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance at Northeastern University, which they began in 2020 and is expected to complete in 2022.

Alongside their formal education, Dan has obtained various professional certifications, including the COSO Internal Control Certificate from the AICPA in 2019, the Chartered Global Management Accountant designation from the AICPA in 2014, and the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license from NASBA.
