Christopher Shaffner, JD, MBA has a diverse and extensive work experience in various leadership roles. Christopher is currently serving as the Senior Vice President of Utilities, Supply Chain, and Trade Finance at CoBank, where they are responsible for the leadership, strategy, growth, and profitability of the bank's Electric Distribution, Water Infrastructure, Supply Chain, and Trade Finance divisions. Prior to this, they held positions such as SVP & Director of Business Operations, Senior Vice President of Water Infrastructure Banking and P3 Investments, and Vice President of Public Private Partnerships at CoBank.

Before joining CoBank, Christopher Shaffner worked as the Executive Director & CEO of South Metro Housing Options. Christopher also served as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Maiker Housing Partners, where they led executive management teams in developing and executing strategies for net income growth and financial sustainability. In addition, they have experience as the Borough Director for Manhattan at the New York City Housing Authority and Director of Operations at Maiker Housing Partners.

Christopher Shaffner's earlier career includes roles as an Investment Manager at Consolidated Investment Group, Analyst/Asset Management/Operations at Carmel Partners, and Operations at Archstone. Christopher brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to their roles and has demonstrated the ability to drive growth and success in various industries.

Christopher Shaffner, JD, MBA has a diverse education history. Christopher holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business. Additionally, they completed an Executive Education program in Innovation Fellow at Stanford University Graduate School of Business. Christopher also obtained a Doctor of Law (JD) degree from Valparaiso University School of Law. Christopher holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English Language and Literature/Letters from Indiana University Bloomington and a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) from the University of Colorado. Furthermore, they attended the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking from 2017 to 2019. Christopher has obtained several additional certifications in areas such as infrastructure, organizational change, fintech, and leadership from prestigious institutions including Harvard Kennedy School Executive Education and The Wharton School.
