Abigail H. has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Abigail currently works at CliniSys as a Product Specialist in Microbiology, starting in April 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust from September 2013 to April 2022. During their time there, they held the positions of Senior Biomedical Scientist and IT Lead from September 2019 to April 2022, and Specialist Biomedical Scientist from September 2013 to September 2019. Before that, they worked at The Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust from September 2009 to September 2013, where they held various roles including Biomedical Scientist, Healthcare Science Associate Practitioner, and Medical Laboratory Assistant. Abigail also worked at Leeds Teaching in June and August 2007 as an Assistant to Clinical Scientist.

Abigail H. completed their Bachelor's degree in Medical Microbiology at the University of Leeds from 2005 to 2008. Abigail then pursued further education and obtained a Master's degree in Biomedical Sciences from Nottingham Trent University from 2013 to 2016. Prior to their university education, Abigail attended Cheadle and Marple Sixth Form College from 2003 to 2005, where they studied Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Abigail has also earned several certifications. Abigail completed the "Speak Like a Pro: Public Speaking for Professionals" course at Jennifer Hennings Coaching in May 2022. In November 2021, they obtained the "Agile Crash Course: Agile Project Management; Agile Delivery" certification from AgileKB | AgileLee & Ureducation. In January 2019, they acquired the "SQL Fundamentals" certification from SoloLearn. Abigail also holds the "Specialist Portfolio" from the Institute of Biomedical Science, obtained in 2012, and the "Biomedical Scientist" designation from The Health and Care Professions Council, obtained in 2011. Furthermore, in 2011 they obtained the "Registration Portfolio" from the Institute of Biomedical Science.
