Ipek Gencsu is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in research and engagement in the fields of climate policy and political theory. Currently serving as a Senior Research Fellow at ODI since April 2016, Ipek has held various positions including Research Fellow and Senior Research Officer. Previous roles include Research and Engagement Manager at the New Climate Economy Project and Research Fellow at Iddri focusing on international climate policy. Early career experience includes a research internship at IPPR and an internship at Oxfam concentrating on food and climate justice. Ipek's academic background includes a Master of Science in Political Theory and a Bachelor of Science in Philosophy and Economics from The London School of Economics and Political Science, complemented by a certificate in Global Philanthropy from New York University.
