Ivano Matera

Lead Chef, Culinary Operations & Operations Consultant at Cleveland Avenue

Ivano was born in Italy with a passion for food. He began his career when he was eight and began working in his family’s bakery. A number of years later, he decided to further his education by attending the culinary program in Altamura. Following that, Ivano spent 17 years traveling around the world and immersing himself in different cultures, cuisines, and new food techniques.

Prior to joining Cleveland Avenue, Ivano worked for Eataly Chicago and helped open the New York and Sao Paulo locations. In addition, he worked for The Ritz Carlton Chicago as their Chef de Cuisine.
