Sarah Harnish has held a variety of roles in the past nine years. In 2021, they began working at Citylitics Inc. as a People Operations Specialist and People Operations Coordinator. From 2019 to 2021, they were employed at Greentank Technologies as a People and Culture Coordinator, Office Manager, and Facility Manager. In 2018, they were a Client Service Manager at CORP - AGENCY. From 2016 to 2018, they were an Office Manager at Love Systems International Corporation. In 2015, they were a Product Specialist/Brand Ambassador at Maverick Communications Inc. and a Retail Associate at East Coast Made Emporium. Sarah also held roles as an Accommodation Assistant, Public Area Assistant, and Turndown Assistant at Luttrellstown Castle and Golf Course and Ashford Castle in 2015 and 2014, respectively. In 2013, they were a Program Coordinator at United Way of Colchester County and a Guest Service Agent at Hilton Garden Inn Halifax Airport Hotel in 2012.

Sarah Harnish has a High School Diploma from Musquodoboit Rural High School, which they obtained between 2005 and 2011. Sarah then attended NSCC Kingstec between 2011 and 2013, studying Tourism Management. From 2013 to 2016, they studied Tourism and Hospitality at Mount Saint Vincent University, obtaining a Tourism and Hospitality Management degree. In 2022, they will begin studying for a Chartered Professionals in Human Resources Certification at Captus Institute, with a focus on Human Resources Management and Services. Sarah Harnish also has various certifications, including McGill Personal Finance Essentials from McGill University (obtained in July 2021), AODA Training from OSG (obtained in February 2021), Workers Health and Safety Part 2 from Workers Health & Safety Centre (obtained in October 2020), Workers Health and Safety Part 1 from Workers Health & Safety Centre (obtained in September 2020), and WHMIS 2015 from Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (obtained in March 2021).
