John Hawley currently serves as the Assistant City Solicitor for the City of Wilmington, DE since April 2019. Prior to this role, John held the position of Judicial Law Clerk at the Delaware Superior Court from March 2018 to April 2019, and worked as a Quality Assurance Specialist at Capital One from May 2013 to March 2018, focusing on quality and compliance monitoring along with process improvement. Earlier in John’s career, a position as a Youth Development Specialist was held with the Peace Corps from June 2007 to August 2009. John holds a Doctor of Law (JD) degree from Widener University School of Law, obtained between 2013 and 2017, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Delaware, completed in 2005.
