Sandra Cano currently serves as the Director of Commerce for the City of Pawtucket, Rhode Island, overseeing economic development initiatives and managing an annual budget of $103 million. Additionally, Sandra holds the position of RI State Senator for District 8 since January 2018. Previously, Sandra was the AVP of Business and Community Development at Navigant Credit Union, where community banking efforts were expanded. Other notable roles include being a City Council Member and a School Committee Member in Pawtucket. Sandra's educational background includes a Master of Public Administration from the University of Rhode Island and an Executive Leadership certificate from Harvard Kennedy School.
