Darwin De Los Santos, E.I., MBA, serves as the General Manager of Engineering for the City of Monroe, NC, since February 2013, with prior roles in natural gas engineering and compliance. Responsibilities include engineering and design for natural gas and electric transmission systems, maintaining operational models, and overseeing integrity management assessments. Darwin has also contributed to long-range planning and compliance training for various stakeholders in natural gas operations. Previous experience includes leadership roles at The Home Depot and clerical positions at the United States Postal Service and Ofitronics S.A. Educational qualifications include an MBA in Business/Energy and dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Physics from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, along with two associate degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Central Piedmont Community College and Miami Dade College.
