Sara Watson has extensive work experience in the legal field, beginning in 2005 as a Research Assistant for the Council for Court Excellence. Sara then worked as a Construction Crew Leader for Habitat for Humanity, where they led volunteers in building homes for low-income families. In 2008, they joined the Partnership for Youth Justice as a member of the Community Accountability Board, helping to rehabilitate first-time juvenile offenders. From 2009 to 2012, Sara worked as an Associate for Stewart Beall MacNichols & Harmell, Inc., P.S. In 2014, they began their tenure at the City of Kent, Washington, starting as a Prosecuting Attorney and eventually becoming the Chief Prosecuting Attorney. In this role, they managed and operated the Prosecution Division, supervised prosecuting attorneys and staff, developed policies, provided training, and prosecuted criminal misdemeanor cases and infractions.
Sara Watson attended Smith College from 2002 to 2006, where they earned a B.A. degree in American Government. Sara then pursued further education at Seattle University, starting in 2007 and graduating in 2010 with a J.D. degree from the School of Law. In addition, from 2008 to 2010, Sara also obtained a Masters degree in Sports Administration and Leadership from the School of Arts and Sciences at Seattle University.
