Amanda Hicks is a civil engineer with extensive experience in municipal engineering and public works. Currently serving as the City Engineer for the City of Jackson, TN, since September 2023, Amanda previously held the position of Deputy County Engineer for the Desoto County Board of Supervisors from September 2022 to September 2023. Prior to that, Amanda worked as the City Engineer and MPO Director for the City of West Memphis from July 2017 to September 2022, overseeing various public works departments for a city with a population of approximately 25,000. Amanda's earlier experience includes serving as a Water/Wastewater Engineer at the West Memphis Utility Commission and as a Student Engineering Intern with the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department. Amanda holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Memphis, completed in 2012, and has prior education from Mid-South Community College and Christian Brothers University.
