Jeffrey Yarbrough has a diverse work experience in law enforcement and security roles. Starting in 1988, they served as a Soldier in the 101st Airborne Division of the US Army. After leaving the military, Yarbrough held positions as a Sergeant/Investigator in the Texas Attorney General's Office and as a Senior Investigator for the State Bar of Texas. In 2014, they became Chief of Police/Assistant City Manager for the City of Tulia, followed by a role as a Sergeant Investigator for the Travis County District Attorney. Yarbrough then took on the position of Chief of Police/Chief Operations Officer for Bastrop ISD from 2015 to 2019. Jeffrey later joined Round Rock ISD as the Executive Director of Safety & Security in 2019 and was promoted to the role of Chief of Police in 2020. Currently, Yarbrough serves as the Chief of Police for the City of Hutto, where they are honored to be part of a supportive community and department.
