S. Blake Miller serves as the Assistant City Engineer for the City of Hoover since September 2021, following extensive experience in civil engineering roles. Previously, S. Blake Miller worked as a Pre-Construction Engineer and Civil Engineer at the Alabama Department of Transportation from January 2014 to September 2021, and as a Senior Engineer at Atkins from September 1998 to January 2014, focusing on roadway project planning and design in Alabama and Mississippi. Early career experiences include positions as a Student Engineer at West Georgia Surveyors, Inc., where road and sewer line designs were created, and as an Engineering Technician at United Consulting Group, Ltd., where grading operations were supervised. S. Blake Miller holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Samford University.
