Craig Hensley has a wealth of experience in urban planning and community development. Craig started their career as a Planner 1 at the City of Lake Elsinore in 1986 before moving on to become a Senior Planner/Redevelopment Project Manager at the City of La Verne in 1987. In 1990, Hensley joined the City of San Dimas as a Planning Manager, where they stayed for 18 years. Since 2008, they have been working as the Community Development Director at the City of Duarte, overseeing various activities such as planning, economic development, building department, public works, engineering, and field services.
Craig Hensley received their Bachelor's degree in Geography from The University of Kansas, which they attended from 1980 to 1984. Craig then pursued their Master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, where they studied from 1985 to 1991. Additionally, they hold a certification in AICP, although the specific institution and dates of obtaining the certification are unknown.
