Jay Castillo currently serves as the Head Basketball Coach at Merritt Island Christian since October 2021 and holds the position of Chief Building Official at the City of Cocoa Beach since August 2016, where previous roles included Associate Chief Building Official. With certifications as a Commercial Building Inspector, Building Plans Examiner, and Building Official, Jay brings extensive expertise to the construction and building compliance sectors. Prior experience includes working as a Housing Project Specialist for Brevard County Government from October 2013 to July 2016 and as a Project Manager at Larcon Corp from 1996 to 2011. Jay Castillo earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Management from Flagler College between 1987 and 1992.
