Jon S. has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Jon started their career in 2007 as a Surface Warfare Officer in the US Navy, where they served as a Navigator on the USS MASON, responsible for the safe navigation of the ship.
In 2012, Jon joined Goldman Sachs as a Vice President in Business Architecture and Change Management. Jon worked on various change projects for the Derivatives and Clearing businesses, with a focus on global derivatives reform. Prior to this role, they spent three years in the Securities Division, working on the Derivatives Market Transition and FICC Sales Strategy teams.
Jon then joined BlackRock in 2016, also as a Vice President. Jon served on the iShares Capital Markets team, responsible for partnering with broker-dealers and market participants to increase their usage of iShares ETFs.
In 2017, Jon moved back to Goldman Sachs as a Vice President, this time managing ETF Operations. Jon led a team responsible for front-to-back support and execution of ETF creation and redemption activity across the Americas.
Most recently, Jon joined Citadel Securities in 2019 as a Systematic Risk Trader for the client equities desk. Jon supervised the execution and risk management of equities on and off exchange.

Jon S. completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in History at Harvard University. Following their undergraduate studies, they obtained several certifications in the field of finance, including the Series 7 - Securities Representative and the Series 63 - Uniform Securities Agent, both from FINRA, in November and December 2013, respectively. Jon also obtained the Series 57 - Securities Trader certification from FINRA in August 2019. In January 2020, Jon S. earned the Series 24 - Securities Principal certification from FINRA. Most recently, they pursued higher education and completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a concentration in Economics and Accounting at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business from 2020 to 2022.
