Jiaming Wang

Quantitative Researcher at Citadel Securities

Jiaming Wang has a diverse range of work experience in both academia and the finance industry. Jiaming started their career as a Research Assistant at The University of Queensland in 2016. From 2017 to 2017, they worked as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Science and Technology of China. In 2017, they also served as a Research Assistant at Harvard University.

In 2018, Jiaming Wang became a Graduate Student Instructor and a PHD Student at the University of California, Berkeley, where they continued their academic pursuits until 2023. During this time, they also worked as an Algorithm Engineer at FMA Technology for a brief period from April 2018 to August 2018.

In 2020, Jiaming Wang transitioned to the finance industry and joined Century Frontier Asset Management as a Quantitative Researcher from September 2020 to May 2021. Jiaming then moved on to The D. E. Shaw Group and worked as a Quantitative Analyst from June 2022 to August 2022.

Currently, Jiaming Wang is working as a Quantitative Researcher at Citadel Securities starting from May 2023.

Jiaming Wang began their education in 2011 at The Affiliated High School of South China Normal University, where they studied science until 2014, completing their high school education. From 2014 to 2018, they attended the University of Science and Technology of China, earning their bachelor's degree in Computational Mathematics. During their time there, in 2016, they participated in an incoming exchange program at The University of Queensland. Currently, from 2018 to 2023, Jiaming Wang is pursuing their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Applied Mathematics at the University of California, Berkeley.
