Mina Quon has a diverse work experience in data science and analytics. Mina began their career in 2010 as a Quality Control Analyst for Selleck Chemicals LLC and an Intern at the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. In 2012, they became a Research Technologist at Northwestern University, where they identified that the deletion of hypoxia-inducible Arnt resulted in cardiomyopathy. In 2014, they were a Statistical Consultant (Pro Bono) at Loyola University Chicago, where they used R, SAS, and SQL programming to derive statistical results. From 2015-2019, they worked at Starcom as a Senior Data Scientist, Data Scientist, and Data & Analytics Data Analyst. In 2019, they joined Integra Credit as a Data Science Manager, Lead Data Scientist, and Senior Data Scientist.
Mina Quon holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biopharmaceutics from The Fourth Military Medical University, which they obtained between 2005 and 2009. Mina then earned a Master of Science (M.S.) in Biotechnology from the Illinois Institute of Technology between 2010 and 2012. In 2013 and 2014, they completed a Master of Science (M.S.) in Applied Statistics at Loyola University Chicago. In addition, Mina Quon has obtained various certifications, including Introduction to Big Data with Apache Spark from edX in 2016, Apache Hadoop Essentials from Cloudera in 2015, Python from Codecademy in 2015, SAS Certified Advanced Programmer for SAS 9 from SAS in 2014, and SAS Certified Base Programmer for SAS 9 from SAS in 2014.
