Kathy Malas holds a prominent role in healthcare innovation and research, currently serving as the Chief Research, Innovation-AI & Learning Officer at CISSS de la Montérégie-Ouest since October 2023 and as an Associate Professor at HEC Montréal since November 2021. With extensive experience, Kathy has contributed as a professional researcher at the Centre de recherche du CHUM and as an adjunct professor at the Université de Montréal. Previously, Kathy played a critical role as Associate CEO and Chief Innovation and AI Officer at CHUM, focusing on integrating innovation and AI in healthcare. Kathy's earlier experience includes managing innovation platforms at CHU Sainte-Justine and professional roles in speech-language pathology, enhancing the quality of care for children. Kathy's academic credentials include a Master's degree and Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the Université de Montréal, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Health Services Management from McGill University.
