Serenah Quiroga is an experienced professional currently serving as the Advising and Communications Coordinator at CIS Abroad since July 2023. Prior to this role, Serenah worked as a Research Assistant at Lake Forest College, contributing to a pioneering social-emotional psychology research project on the impact of educational TV media on children's development. Serenah’s experience spans various positions in the medical and academic fields, including roles as a Medical Assistant at Surgeons of Northern Illinois and a Peer Mentor in the Lake Forest College Neuroscience Department. Starting from roles such as a Colonoscopy Waiting Room Registrar at Northwestern Medicine, Serenah has engaged in substantial research and shadowing experiences, including at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science and MacNeal Hospital. Serenah earned a Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience and Psychology from Lake Forest College in May 2023.
