Jean-Baptiste Cheneval

Head Of Advocacy And Funding Department/deputy Director Of Research Impact And Marketing Service at CIRAD

Jean-Baptiste Cheneval has a diverse and extensive work experience in the agricultural and development sector. Jean-baptiste is currently serving as the Head of Advocacy and Funding Department and the Deputy Director of Research Impact and Marketing Service at CIRAD since September 2021. Prior to that, they worked as an International Expert on Agriculture Development from 2019 onwards.

In 2021, Cheneval also served as the Deputy Director at CDA - Centre de Développement de l'Agroécologie until September. From 2017 to 2019, they held the position of Co-Director and Program Manager at Association CARI, where they were responsible for various aspects of NGO management, program and project implementation, and resource mobilization.

From 2011 to 2019, Cheneval worked as a Program Coordinator and International Network Manager at Réseau International RADDO, overseeing the coordination and implementation of development programs in multiple countries. Additionally, they have also held the position of Project Manager at Association CARI from 2007 to 2011, managing agroecology and sustainable development projects in France, Morocco, and Tunisia.

Throughout their career, Cheneval has demonstrated expertise in project management, advocacy, fundraising, and leadership. Jean-baptiste has also proven their ability to collaborate with various stakeholders and effectively manage teams at both national and international levels.

Jean-Baptiste Cheneval completed their education in a chronological order as follows:

- From 2000 to 2005, they attended ESA, L'Ecole supérieure des agricultures and obtained a Master of Science degree in Agronomy, agriculture and sustainable development, and development economics.

- From 2004 to 2005, they pursued their education at Universidad autonoma de Chapingo, where they earned a Master of Science degree in International economy and agroecology.

- Lastly, from 2005 to 2006, they studied at L'Institut Agro Montpellier and obtained a Master of Science degree in Development Economics and International Development.
