Molly Marquardt Smith has a diverse work experience. Molly started their career as a Precertification Representative at Children's Wisconsin in 2008, where they provided insurance precertification for all types of admissions. Molly later became a Lead Precertification Representative, leading a team of thirteen. Molly then took on the role of Access Center Navigation Coordinator, where they coordinated out-of-state referrals and enhanced the patient experience. Molly was promoted to Supervisor, optimizing care coordination for children and achieving high employee engagement scores. Molly then became a Patient Access Manager, successfully implementing change management and ensuring efficient workflows. Currently, they serve as the Patient Access Director for Time of Service areas regionally at Children's Wisconsin, overseeing a large team and revenue cycle administration. Prior to their work at Children's Wisconsin, Molly had a role as a Customer Service Rep I at BMO Harris Bank and completed a student internship at Walt Disney World.

Molly Marquardt Smith earned a Master of Science degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from the University of Wisconsin Colleges from 2020 to 2023. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Communication, General from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
