Michael Martinez is an experienced research analyst currently at Child Trends since September 2021, previously advancing from research assistant roles. Prior experience includes serving as an undergraduate research assistant at the Yale Sociology Department from January 2020 to May 2021, supporting Professor Rourke O'Brien with literature reviews and theoretical frameworks. Michael was part of the Advising Fellow Leadership Team at Matriculate, where responsibilities included recruiting and training new fellows, as well as conducting outreach. An early career position involved interning at the New York State Education Department, focusing on education access for English learners and immigrant students.
