Vanessa DiBernardo is a professional soccer player with the Chicago Red Stars since March 2014, recognized as an NWSL Semifinalist in 2015 and awarded the Chicago Red Stars Unsung Hero Award the same year. DiBernardo led the team in assists and ranked second in the NWSL that season. Prior to their professional career, DiBernardo contributed as a central midfielder for the U-20 U.S. Women's National Team, earning a World Cup championship in 2012, where Vanessa started all six matches and scored the third goal in the quarterfinals. Vanessa DiBernardo holds a Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Sport, and Tourism with a focus on Sport Management from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, which was completed in 2014.
