Hope O'Dell is an experienced journalist currently serving as a Reporter for the Chicago Council on Global Affairs since April 2023. Prior to this role, O'Dell worked at The 'Gander Newsroom, focusing on Michigan government, reproductive rights, and education policy. Additional experience includes reporting for Capital News Service, where coverage ranged from agriculture to civil rights, and editorial positions at The Red Cedar Log, including Editor in Chief. O'Dell has also completed internships at FRONTLINE PBS and the West Michigan Environmental Action Council, gaining skills in editorial management, fact-checking, and eco-journalism. O'Dell holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Relations and Policy along with a degree in Journalism from Michigan State University.
