Janessa Porter has extensive experience in research and academia. Janessa currently works as a Research Program Manager at CHEO Research Institute since May 2023. Prior to this role, they were a Research Coordinator at the same organization from June 2019 to May 2023.

Janessa Porter has a strong educational background in psychology. Janessa obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Psychology with a specialization in research from Wilfrid Laurier University. Their academic journey at Wilfrid Laurier University lasted from 2009 to 2013.
Janessa then pursued further education at Carleton University, where they completed their Master of Arts (MA) degree in Personality and Social Psychology. Janessa attended Carleton University from 2014 to 2017.
