Gretchen Carson serves as the Director of Business Recruitment at the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance since August 2021 and has been a Board Member of the French American Chamber of Commerce Carolinas since 2010. Prior to their current role, Gretchen held positions such as Economic Development Specialist at Mecklenburg County and Project Manager at Monroe-Union County EDC, focusing on relationship-building with existing industries and facilitating support for expansions and relocations. Gretchen's experience includes serving as the Director of Existing Industry at the Union County Partnership for Progress and as Executive Director of the French-American Chamber of Commerce, where membership growth and event coordination were key responsibilities. Educational credentials include a B.S.B.A. in International Business from UNC Charlotte and a Bachelor's in Art History and French from Indiana University Bloomington, supplemented by training at the Economic Development Institute at the University of Oklahoma.
