Joshua Fugate is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in application security and architecture. Currently serving as the Director of Application Security Monitoring and Operations and Director of Cybersecurity Architecture & Strategy at Charles Schwab since April 2019, Joshua designs enterprise cybersecurity strategies incorporating zero trust architecture and security automation. Joshua previously held leadership roles at TD Ameritrade and Bank of the West, where responsibilities included overseeing application security architecture, leading security teams, conducting risk assessments, and developing secure software development lifecycle programs. As the CEO of SecureXpectations LLC since January 2014, Joshua provides security consulting services across multiple industries. Joshua holds a Master’s degree in Systems Engineering and Engineering Management from Texas Tech University and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, and holds multiple professional certifications including CISSP, OSCP, GWAPT, and GMOB.
