Edgar Camero is an experienced urban planner currently at ChangeLab Solutions since October 2021. As the founder and visionary of The Scholar Project, Edgar aims to empower communities of color to embrace their scholarly identities through art and apparel. Edgar’s previous roles include serving as a housing policy analyst at the California Department of Housing & Community Development, where dynamic dashboards were created to track planning grants, and as program manager at the Silicon Valley Education Foundation, leading educational initiatives across multiple school districts. Additional experience as a family engagement specialist and educator in various school systems highlights Edgar's commitment to enhancing educational access and community engagement. Edgar holds a master's degree in Chicano/a Studies with a specialization in policy from San Jose State University and a bachelor’s degree in Chicano/a Studies emphasizing public policy from the University of California, Davis. Edgar also completed a Data Analytics Credential from the University of Chicago in 2021.
