Mikayla Mangle is an Equal Justice Works Fellow at the Center for Heirs' Property Preservation, specializing in legal advocacy related to environmental justice and heirs' property issues. Previous experience includes serving as a Student Attorney at Tulane University Law School's Environmental Law Clinic, where representation focused on environmental justice matters, and working as a Law Clerk at Pisgah Legal Services. Mikayla has also contributed to research on food justice while serving as a Research Assistant at the Tulane Center for Environmental Law and completed a Legal Internship at the National Sea Grant Law Center. Early in the career, Mikayla held roles such as Science and Technology Editor for The Johnsonian and a Voter Outreach Intern at Winthrop University, fostering engagement in local elections. Mikayla holds a JD in Environmental Law and Civil Rights Law from Tulane University Law School and a BA in Environmental Studies and Political Science from Winthrop University.
