Gabriel Demo is a Junior Group Leader at CEITEC - Central European Institute of Technology since January 2020. Previously, Gabriel served as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at the University of Massachusetts Medical School from November 2014 to October 2019, contributing to the Korostelev group with expertise in Structural Biology, single particle cryo-EM, X-ray crystallography, and Biochemistry. In early 2015, Gabriel was a Visiting Researcher in the Cryo-EM Group mentored by Dr. Nikolaus Grigorieff at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute's Janelia Farm Research Campus. Gabriel also engaged in research at Imperial College London with prof. Naomi Chayen in February 2012, and at the European Synchrotron as a Visiting Research Scholar in February 2011. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Biomolecular Chemistry, an MS in Inorganic Chemistry, and a BS in General Chemistry, all from Masaryk University Brno.
