Umesh Vl is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in the technology sector. Currently serving as the Lead Software Engineer at CAVIUM NETWORKS (INDIA) PRIVATE LIMITED since January 2017, Umesh is responsible for the design and implementation of a P4 compiler for xplaint ASIC, including ownership of the parser implementation. Umesh has also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Cavium Inc since January 2015, focusing on XPliant Ethernet Switch development. Prior experience includes a role at Avaya from October 2010 to January 2015, where Umesh designed and implemented the multicast DNS/Bonjour gateway for the WLAN 8100 platform, and previous positions at Hewlett-Packard and PathPartner Technology. Umesh holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Information Science from the National Institute of Engineering, MYSORE, completed in 2008.
